 Initial blast-- breach of Condit Dam 10/26/2011

The Yakima/Klickitat Fisheries Project, US Fish & Wildlife Service and Bonneville Power Administration are pleased to present the 5th annual Klickitat and White Salmon Rivers (Columbia Gorge) Fisheries and Watershed Science Conference at The Gorge Discovery Center in The Dalles, OR on March 20th, 2012.

The informational flyer for the conference and list of presentations are linked above. This year's presentations covered both sides of the Columbia Gorge, and a wide variety of topics related to fisheries and watersheds, presented by local, regional, tribal, state and federal entities.

Follow links below to past years' conferences to view abstracts or presentations. Presentations over the past years have spanned a spectrum of topics relevant to the fisheries and aquatic resources--from research to implementation-- in tributary watersheds and the mainstem Mid-Columbia including: policy, planning and management; geologic hazards and glacial retreat in the Cascades; Pacific lamprey research; water availability; dam removals; education and outreach; fish predation studies; hatchery reform and fish facility improvements; genetic research; fish passage and tributary habitat restoration work, and more. Topics represent the work of a broad range of agencies and organizations.
